Uniforms and Dress Code

St. Ann School Uniforms

St. Ann Academy believes that uniforms provide many benefits. Wearing uniforms encourages a sense of professionalism and self-discipline, reduces the peer pressure of wearing trendy clothes, diminishes economic and social barriers between students, improves attendance, increases a sense of belonging and school pride, helps identify intruders in the school, and alleviates some parental stress in the mornings.

Preschool students in PreK3 and PreK4 wear the gym uniform year-round with sneakers for safety. The girls have an option to wear a red, drop waist dress with the school logo. Students in grades K-8 wear the more formal uniforms, which are available through Blake’s Uniforms in Stratford, CT. Be sure to specify St. Ann Academy BRIDGEPORT at Blake’s. This will assure that you get the correct uniform choices.

Our Home and School Association (H.S.A.) also organizes a uniform swap, where you can exchange your child’s outgrown uniform for another one.
